ASPERA HIGH-SPEED TRANSFER SERVICE LAUNCHES!
This week at AWS re:Invent Aspera is launching the new Aspera High-Speed Transfer Service (ATS) on AWS - a multi-tenant, high speed SaaS platform for moving large files AND data sets in, out, and between AWS storage regions. Powered by the Aspera FASP® high-speed transfer protocol, the platform allows users to move data of any size over any distance at line speed to and from S3. The unique Direct to-Cloud capability integrates with S3 to enable the fastest file uploads and downloads with predictable transfer times, while adding robust security and comprehensive transfer management features such as encryption over the wire and at rest, dynamic bandwidth control, pause and resume, and real-time and historical reporting. Users can transfer data to S3 in single sessions at ~3 Gigabits/second from any distance, and in multi-session transfers at over 20 Gigabits per second. Built on Aspera auto-scaling technology, the platform offers extreme scale out, high availability and load balancing, and if offered via Pay-as-you-go and pre-commit subscriptions.

ASPERA AT NAB SHOW NEW YORK
This year at the exciting NAB New York show, Aspera showcased its full suite of high-speed file transfer software and workflow automation solutions, with a special focus on FASPStream, our new open turnkey video transport solution and winner of this year’s HPA Engineering Excellence Award, which enables broadcast-quality live streaming over commodity Internet networks. FASPStream demonstrations featured a live high-resolution video stream from Royal Caribbean ship, Harmony of the Seas®.
Digital Media World featured Aspera's new FASPStream transport software as an alternative for Internet video transport that delivers timely arrival of broadcast quality live video and data with minimal startup delay or pre-buffering, independent of distance, network round-trip delay and packet loss that downgrade image quality and user experience.
Breakthroughs in research technology - like next generation sequencing - improve treatment & drug discovery, but create huge amounts of data for life sciences companies to manage. To accelerate R&D and time to market, many life science companies have turned to Aspera to securely share their large research & clinical data across global teams at maximum speed.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS: POLSAT
Telewizja Polsat, the biggest commercial broadcaster in Poland with more than 30 channels, collaborates daily with dozens of Polish production houses, content producers, and global news and sports producers. Its previous manual transfer methods involved too many people and were too slow and impractical to handle the growing size of digital media moving between many new locations and content providers. It selected a suite of Aspera products that enabled it to transfer all its media files over the WAN at maximum speed. According to Polsat, “Aspera drastically reduces the time it takes for us to receive the content, shortening the end-to-end workflow and ensuring we can have content ready to go in time for transmission on our channels.”
CUSTOMER SUCCESS: BASE CLOUD MEDIA
BASE Cloud Media is a virtual managed service provider that offers cloud-based solutions for digital media companies in production, post production and distribution. Its on demand cloud delivery model relies significantly on the power of high-speed file transfer and distribution software. By leveraging Aspera Files, BASE Media Cloud can enable customers to securely access and move large media files and folders located anywhere, to anywhere and with anyone. Aspera Files empowered it to build out its fully managed, on demand solution with a high-speed file transfer backbone for broadcast media agency Aurora Media Worldwide in support of the FIA Formula E Championship – the world’s first fully electric racing series.
