Aspera Central provides a desktop and network-based transfer engine. Transfers can be initiated and monitored through a web services API. These APIs can be utilized from both desktop and network-based applications. Aspera Central is functional in both a client and server environment.

Aspera Developer Network
Aspera fasp technology can be used in desktop, network-based, and web applications in place of FTP, HTTP, or custom TCP-based copy protocols. The SDK includes several interface options for initiating and managing Aspera fasp transfers. Welcome to the Aspera Developer Network!   Aspera Web provides a browser-based platform for integrating fasp transfers into web applications. JavaScript functions exposed by a browser plugin are used to initiate downloads and uploads from within the web browser. Additionally, uploads can be initiated via dragging files from the desktop environment to the web browser.
 fasp Manager library exposes classes and methods that let you initiate and monitor fasp transfers from within your application. fasp Manager can be used in both server and client applications.

Supporting tools and libraries let you perform other miscellaneous tasks surrounding file transfers, including ability to browse remote Aspera server, logging transfer events to a SQL database and starting pre and post transfer tasks.
