Aspera’s faspex Server Named a Finalist in 2010 American Business Awards
May 27, 2010 EMERYVILLE, Calif. – May 27, 2010 – Aspera, Inc., creators of next-generation software technologies that move the world’s digital assets at maximum speed regardless of file size, transfer distance or network conditions, announced today that its faspex™Server was selected as a finalist in the 2010 American Business Awards for the category of “New Product or Service of the Year - Computer Software - New Server Software”. The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit entries – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. “Aspera is excited to be a finalist for this award, as it is a testament to our ongoing work to create the fastest and most reliable file transfer experience for our customers,” said Francois Quereuil, director of marketing at Aspera. “faspex Server is an important tool for any professional dealing with large files, because its simple and intuitive design makes sharing and distributing content as simple as sending an email, while also utilizing our unrivaled transport speed.”
Users access faspex™ Server through a web interface, which allows them to send digital packages consisting of single or multiple files and directories to other registered users or project groups by dragging files into a “Send” interface. Similarly, recipients receive packages in their web-based inbox, or as an embedded link forwarded to e-mail. The simple interface and easy setup are ideal for ad hoc transfer needs, collaborative workflows, as well as review and approval processes. Furthermore, faspex™ Server allows administrators to set user rights, so sensitive files can only be accessed by those with certain access rights.
