Expanding digital content ingest and delivery capacity to meet growing global demand for post services

Deluxe Digital Studios deploys Aspera software to increase capacity, shorten production cycles, and improve service levels

 

Deluxe Digital Studios, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., staffs more than 1,500 full-time employees and 3,000 language translators in support of its DVD, Blu-ray and digital distribution content services. The company's monthly capacity exceeds 350 DVD, 100 Blu-ray and 18,000 digital distribution projects per month. Deluxe Digital Studios, providing services to every major Hollywood studio.

To meet the growing demand for their industry-leading post-production services, Deluxe Digital Studios has deployed Aspera’s high-speed file transfer software. The high-availability configuration of Aspera’s latest collaboration and management software, together with expanded network capacity and A10 Networks’ AX Series Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), will increase capacity, shorten production cycles, and improve service levels as they scale operations.

“With the Aspera faspex™ and Connect Server software platforms we receive content from our partners and move file-based assets across our labs during post production at high speed, with robust security,” said Rick Moser, manager of worldwide transmissions at Deluxe, “With our growing production volume and the global nature of our business, we needed to increase capacity and strengthen our infrastructure, which we now have with our high-availability Aspera server configuration. The expanded cluster is available in our Aspera Console for management and visibility across the entire configuration.“

The faspex deployment allows production teams to collaborate quickly and efficiently, including rapidly onboarding third parties to transfer digital files and directories at maximum speed with complete security to meet short production timelines – all this within a user-friendly interface. The expanded deployment consists of Aspera Connect and faspex servers and A10’s AX 3000 ADCs with 10-Gb port connectivity to ensure maximum system flexibility, availability and uptime. The Aspera Console provides centralized transfer management, configuration, and reporting to ensure the system is operating at peak performance.
