Aspera platform powers Aviate's breakthrough video asset solution

 

Marketers' ability to effectively reach consumers depends on how quickly they can adapt to a constantly changing market. Aviate, a hot new creative services firm, was founded to meet this need with innovative technology to boost the creative process. They set out to develop a web application where dealers and agencies could quickly and easily browse, order, approve and download broadcast-quality videos. To complete the solution, Aviate needed the ability to securely transfer videos at high-speed from the Web application to the dealers that had placed the order.

Aviate discovered Aspera at an Amazon cloud-computing event. "On the surface, the other technologies looked like they might do the trick, but when we looked at the hard numbers, they didn't hold a candle to what Aspera was delivering," said Shane Zucker, Chief Marketing Officer at Aviate. Aviate has since embedded Aspera Connect Server into their Web application, which is deployed on Aviate’s private cloud, and the Aspera Client into their own java client Application. Aspera’s SDK and flexible APIs allowed Aiate to easily integrate and deploy rich media browsing and seamless distribution capabilities, while also creating an exceptional user experience.

Today, more than 600 dealers and ad agencies rely on Aviate's online Web application featuring Aspera's high-speed delivery to browse and transfer TBs of data monthly. The agency and dealers using the Aviate system were able to streamline the process and improve resource allocation, leading to significant time and cost savings, increased productivity and superior video asset deployment to market. They are able to now process 75-80 orders per week, instead of three per day.

"Aspera is a cornerstone of this new business model and a critical driver in our ability to attract new clients, partners and investors," said Zucker.
