NEW PRODUCT UPDATES

We are thrilled to announce the first release of Aspera for Microsoft SharePoint 1.0.0 for Windows, now available for download on our website. Aspera for SharePoint extends the base functionality of SharePoint, enabling users to quickly transfer large sizes and numbers of files including entire directories, eliminating SharePoint’s 2GB file size limit.

The initial release of Android Drive Mobile 1.0.0 is now available for download from the Google Play Store. Based on Aspera’s high-speed FASP transport, Aspera Drive Mobile lets you browse remote files and folders, as well as upload and download files to and from mobile-enabled Aspera Shares or Aspera transfer servers.

We would also like to announce the general availability of Aspera a4 3.6.0 for Windows and Linux. The a4 transfer engine maximizes transfer efficiency for large sets of small files, enabling enterprises to achieve FASP speeds with even the largest collections of small files.

ASPERA CEO MICHELLE MUNSON FEATURED IN NEW YORK TIMES

RECAP: SUPERCOMPUTING 2014

At this year's Supercomputing conference in New Orleans, Aspera showcased the latest results from our joint research collaboration with Intel, combining a next generation prototype of Aspera's transport software with processing power by Intel DDIO and DPDK to achieve 80 Gbps transfer speeds on a single server running on commodity hardware. Read more 

RECAP: AWS RE:INVENT 2014

At AWS re:Invent, we featured Auto-Scaler, which automatically scales and expands transfer capacity of Aspera server software in the cloud, and the groundbreaking FASPStream technology, which allows live video and data feeds to be transported over global WANs in near real time. Also, Aspera teamed up with EVS to deliver a presentation on "Achieving Consistently High Throughput for Very Large Data Transfers with Amazon S3." The session, which featured Michelle Munson, CEO & Co-founder of Aspera, and Stephane Houet, Product Manager at EVS, explained how to achieve very large file WAN transfers and integrate them into mission-critical workflows across multiple industries. Download the presentation
